Cisco VPN 3080 Series Concentrator

The Cisco VPN 3080 Concentrator is a virtual private network (VPN) platform optimized to support large organizations that demand the highest level of performance combined with support for up to 10,000 simultaneous IP security (IPSec) sessions or 500 simultaneous clientless sessions. Specialized Scalable Encryption Processing (SEP) modules perform hardware-based acceleration. The Cisco VPN 3080 is available in a fully redundant configuration only.

The Cisco VPN 3080 offers:

  • Two SEP modules for hardware-based encryption at maximum system throughput
  • Dual redundant power supplies
  • Expansion capabilities: two additional SEP modules included for maximum system redundancy
  • Three 10/100BASE-T Ethernet interfaces (autosensing)

As with the other models in the Cisco VPN 3000 Series, the VPN 3080 Concentrator also provides the following features:

  • Motorola PowerPC CPU
  • Synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM) for normal operation
  • Nonvolatile memory for critical system parameters
  • Flash memory for file management
